Inkom - Pebble Creek Ski Area

3340 East Green Canyon Road

The old timers and the new young dare devils still loudly proclaim, "If you can ski Pebble Creek you can ski anywhere," But now, Pebble Creek is also a good place to learn to ski. The dream of going up and over to the "superior" slopes on the east side of the Mount Bonneville remains strong.

Pebble Creek is a vertical playground that attracts extreme skiers but also offers plenty of terrain variety for other skill levels. Located just south of the City of Pocatello, in the Caribou National Forest, Pebble Creek boasts virtually non-existent lift lines. The 40 member PSIA/AASI Member Ski & Snowboard School offers a wide range of group programs as well as private lessons.

Pebble Creek plays host to 1,100 skiable acres, 54 runs and an abundance of annual snowfall, providing enough playful terrain for beginners and those demanding an honest challenge. The rental shop carries high performance shaped skis and the lodge offers cafeteria-style dining and fresh home-baked treats. Renowned for its fun and friendly atmosphere Pebble Creek offers great winter fun at a great value!

After a day on the slopes, it's only a few miles to Pocatello with its many hotels and restaurants featuring cuisine with a regional flair. If your tastes run to the calm and quaint, you'll enjoy the natural volcanic mineral baths and western hospitality of Lava Hot Springs to soothe and relax those tired ski muscles.

That quiet swish of snow under your sticks in the bitter, cold, Idaho weather is the best warmth you'll know in the cold heart of winter. Add to that the happy chatter as students 8-18 attempting to maneuver boards and skis across Pebble Creek Ski Hill's steeps. This makes the slice of heaven we've been looking for in the snow all the sweeter. What would our kids be doing if they didn't have this opportunity!? Well, thanks to Pebble Creek Ski Area, we don't know! For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, try to reflect on that last paragraph. Then, think about how you would feel if your kids got a day of skiing or boarding lessons for a nominal fee. That's what Pebble does for our schools. With the Pebble Creek Ski Area Schools Ski Program, our students are taught skills that can be used for the rest of our student's lives. They teach them a sport that will be attainable for their lifetimes. Along with the ability to maneuver snow-covered slopes, these children have been taught the confidence to hit the hill and charge the mountain with their friends. Confidence on the hill is a life boost that will resound in our children's personalities for years to come. And, I cannot stress enough, it is the most reasonable expense! For less than a season pass, our students had ski/snowboard lessons, rentals and owned the mountain 3-4 full days!!! With the school skiing programs, Pebble Creek Ski Area has given our students the chance to master the snow and exude positive self-esteem in a sullen winter. For that, all I can say is "Thank you, Pebble!" If you can ski Pebble, you can ski anywhere! Welcome, Idahome!

Some of the best terrain to ski in the West! I've been to my share of different ski areas around WA, OR, WY and ID and this place remains unrivaled. If you're lucky enough to ski a powder day here you'll want to come back ASAP. Definitely a big boy hill some come ready to shred!

Great place to ski. It's on the small side but it has great terrain throughout the hill. Decent prices. They have lots of fun events and such going on.

I fell face down on a 4"-5" concrete step. The rubber mat was covering the yellow painted stripe on the end of the upper level. Then when my daughter tried to tell the manager in the bar the man could not be bothered. My liver was injured as well as my chest. The individuals working in the food court there were very courtious and pleasant. They were obviously short handed with customers leaving quite a mess in their wake. We enjoyed watching our daughter's family skiing from the warmth of the cafe window area. Thank you.

This is a small ski resort, so when you come don’t expect there to be a lot of lifts or it to be large. There are three lifts, they have a lower lift for beginners. This is a nice lift to warm up on. The two upper lifts are medium to harder, Black diamond runs. They do have moguls in some places. Some places you could ski through trees. The view is unbelievable from the top of the highest ski lift. You can almost “see to Canada” haha. You are able to rent skis and snowboards here as well as lessons! There is no board waxing or ski waxing. They have a cafeteria, you can bring your own food and sit in benches free for all dining inside or outside the lodge building. They have public restrooms and lockers. They have beer and snacks as well. This is a small town place. Don’t expect too much. They have great prices compared to other ski resorts. It is a fun place to ski. Upper lift lines are shorter than the beginner/lower lift line. Also, check your calendar, they always have fun events going on!! Pond skim, dummy jump day, and more...
