Granite Creek Ranch has been part of the Zitlau family since the early 1900's when Carl's grandfather homesteaded 80 acres. Gradually the family acquired nearby homesteads and ranches. Interestingly, we learned recently that Carl's grandfather actually operated a guest ranch here for a short time in the early 1900's!
