The iconic Idaho Potato Drop comes back to Boise for its sixth year on New Year’s Eve.  The festivities begin at 3 p.m. and don’t stop until well past midnight, celebrating the new year the Idaho way: with huge potatoes, a rail jam, live music, and firework display. Consider a VIP ticket to extend the party an extra hour and to gain entrance to a heated party tent, too.

Noon and New Year’s Eve Party at Wahooz Fun Zone, Meridian, ID

The Noon Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve Party at Wahooz Fun Zone in Meridian, Idaho both offer family-friendly fun throughout the day and into the evening. Noon Year’s begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. whereas New Year’s starts at 5 p.m. and doesn’t stop till the ball drops. Each offers unlimited Twister, Clip ‘n Climb, Laser Maze, Bumper Cars, plus food and drink for all. 

New Year’s Eve Party at Tamarack Resort, Tamarack, ID

The Tamarack Resort is one of the best snow and ski resorts in Idaho and on New Year’s Eve, it turns into one of the best family-friendly celebrations around. The event is free of charge regardless of age and takes place in the Canoe Grill on-site. Enjoy dancing, music, and the annual bonfire just outside.

New Year’s Eve Dinner at Chateau de Fleurs, Eagle, ID

Chateau de Fleurs defines elegance in Eagle, Idaho, with their sprawling estate just behind the Boise River, rooms for as many as 600 or as few as 25, and a professional wait staff that could work wonders at Versailles. Proceeds for the 2018 New Year’s Eve Bubbly Bash at River Run Lodge in Ketchum, Idaho will benefit the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, a premier arts center located in the Sun Valley. Attendees are invited to “come dressed in your leather studded sequined threads to ring in the New Year with Rock n’ Roll,” according to the center’s website.

The 2018 New Year’s Eve Coeur d’Alene Resort Diamond Soiree, Coeur d’Alene, ID

The resort offers a variety of New Year’s options, including the soiree and several lake cruises. The Shore Lodge New Year’s Eve & Kid’s Pajama Party, McCall, ID

The Shore Lodge in McCall, Idaho offers two unique New Year’s events.
