Woven into the fabric of this country is the significance of professional and college sports. Sports bars have become a sacred space—a place to cheer on your favorite teams with your friends while throwing back some cold ones. Across Idaho, you’ll find an abundance of unique and exciting sports bars equipped with everything you’ll need to enjoy the big game. Here are the best in the state.
Located in Meridian, Idaho, a suburb of Boise, is Pinnacle. Pinnacle has luxurious booths and an amazing vantage point to the games on the big screens which are strategically placed throughout the pub. They are community centered, meaning that they are more than happy to take your keys if you’re too drunk to drive, and happy to arrange a ride home for you. They practice and promote safe drinking. They have a full bar and many brews on tap, so come watch your BSU team play!
The Zone, as they call it in the Idaho Falls area, is a locally owned and operated sports bar that has many weekly and monthly events and specials going on. The staff is great. They tend to dress up like players and celebrate big games in style. They offer a full bar, and great bar food, that is of great quality and price. Check this place out.
The Firehouse Sports Pub in Nampa, just outside of Boise and Meridian is a great place for your favorite wings, chili burgers and digs, or just a great brew on tap. The prices are modest, and reasonable. With weekly and daily specials and happy hour drink specials and food specials you can’t go wrong dropping by the Firehouse for a game sometime.
Kurly’s in Mountain Home is a short drive south from Boise, and is home to the mighty Air Force! Here you can come mingle with our heroes in uniform and watch a local or national game on the flat screens. They offer some of the best pub food in the area and if the military likes the food, the locals will too! They offer most any drink and many options for brews.
The Anchor Bistro is a very nice, contemporary sports bar in Twin Falls. It has eclectic foods and brews that are very earthy! The Anchor Bistro offers live music events weekly, as well as the usual bar happy hour specials on drinks and food. When you’re ready to unwind and relax, the Anchor is where you want to be.
Sweet Lou’s has two locations to serve you. They are a fairly new business, opening in 2011, and have grown to be a staple in the area. They offer down-home America fare foods, with some seafood as well. They have a full bar, flat screen televisions for the big game and a family friendly environment. The prices are fair and reasonable.
Busters Grill and Bar is Eagle’s ONLY sports bar and grill! They are currently under new ownership, the food is still delicious. They have prime rib nights and at a decent price. Serving mostly American fare foods, and microbrew on tap, this spot is one of the best.
O’Malley’s is a classic Irish-style pub, with Irish style cuisine to boot. They have a wide selection of beer and wine to go with the meal or just to sit back and relax while watching a BSU game. Prices are very fair, and the portions and pour is generous. The home-cooked meatloaf and mashed potatoes with garlic bread are recommended!
