The 10 Best Senior Discount Offers in Idaho!

In your retirement years, there is time to go see a matinee movie, to take adult college courses, to visit the zoo, and so much more. But if you’re living on a fixed budget, you have to save your pennies. Fortunately for those in Idaho, there are numerous deals available that chop the prices on your favorite things. Here are the 10 best senior discounts in the state!

1. Avis

Avis car rental has partnered with AARP to offer 10-25 percent discounts on all domestic and international vehicles. Seniors are also eligible for free or discounted upgrades, including on GPS and unlimited mileage.

2. The Flicks Theater, Boise, ID

The Flicks Theater in downtown Boise, Idaho, offers a substantial senior discount on all movies. Typical showings cost $9.50, but the static senior discount for those who are 65-years-old or older brings the price down to $7.50.

5. Hyatt Hotels, Multiple locations

Traveling for the holidays? Don’t want to get stuck on your son or daughter’s extra couch? Consider staying in a Hyatt hotel. Participating locations throughout the state offer up to 50 percent discounts on their daily room rate.

6. Stein Mart, Multiple locations

Every Monday, Stein Mart’s preferred customers receive a coupon for a significant discount in their email. Sign up for their preferred program at the attached link for free and start raking up the savings. The typical discount is around 20 percent.

7. Boise Zoo, Boise, ID

When was the last time you went to the zoo? Chances are you can’t remember, and if that’s correct, then it’s high time you went for a visit. Seniors 62 years-old and older can get in for only $4.50—less than a morning trip to Starbucks.

8. Savers, Multiple locations

9. Michael’s/Hancock Fabrics, Multiple locations

Michael’s honors our seniors every day with a static 10 percent discount on almost everything in their stores. Whether you’re already a crafter or picking up a new hobby, why not stop into the local Michael’s to take advantage of this discount today?

10. Fred Meyer, Multiple locations

Next time you go grocery shopping, consider stopping by the local Fred Meyer. With multiple locations throughout the state, it’s a perfectly good opportunity to take advantage of their Tuesday senior discount days. Many other groceries have discounts, too, if a Fred Meyer isn’t close enough for you to travel.
